Lead Management 101: Organizing Your Leads
The Importance of Lead Organization in Your CRM
Organizing your leads is crucial for running an efficient and effective business. Within our CRM, we offer a variety of options to organize contacts, and one of the most powerful tools available is Tags.
Understanding Tags
Tags are a core component of the CRM, used in the contacts tab to help you manage and categorize your leads. When teaching people how to use this CRM, I always start with tags because they are incredibly versatile and connect with every feature included in the CRM. Understanding tags makes everything else in the CRM much more digestible.
The Power of Tags
At its most basic level, a tag is a tool that allows you to fully organize your leads. For example, if a lead submits an interest form but doesn’t follow up, you can tag them accordingly. This allows you to create a list of contacts, or a “smartlist,” to see exactly which contacts are interested but need a bit more follow-up.
This is just one use case. There are countless ways to leverage tags to better organize and optimize your outreach. By utilizing tags, you can ensure that no lead falls through the cracks and that your follow-up is targeted and effective.
Enhancing Lead Management with Smartlists
Smartlists are dynamic lists that update automatically based on the tags and criteria you set. This feature allows you to quickly identify and segment your contacts for more personalized communication. Whether you want to target leads who showed initial interest, those who need a follow-up, or any other specific segment, smartlists make it easy.
